The Public Service Information Network (JIPP) of Central Java Province was soft launched on July 10, 2018 by the provincial government. JIPP was established as a platform to learn and disseminate innovations of public services from the provincial and district government in Central Java. Through JIPP, the public service providers in Central Java will be able to exchange information around innovative practices that have benefited the public.
The JIPP website also allows the public service providers and community to interact with the innovators through the listed phone number or email. The public can also submit any complaints related to issues on public service deliveries. These complaints will then be forwarded to the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) in Central Java.
The soft launch was attended by district/city representatives of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) of Central Java. The Public Service Information Network is a collaborative efforts between Provincial Government of Central Java with the Ministry of PAN-RB, KOMPAK, universities and civil society organizations.
The soft launch marked the commencement of the public service innovation competition of Central Java. To date, JIPP has received a total of 229 innovation proposals. The Head of Organization Bureau of Central Java Provincial Secretariat, Ir. Diah Lukisari said that the innovation competition is a tool to encourage improvement in public services, while JIPP serves as a medium for documenting the innovations as well as inter-regional learning forums.
"We need to encourage every OPD and district/city in Central Java Province to generate innovation ideas for public services improvement," added Diah.
JIPP will be officially launch by the Central Java Governor, H. Ganjar Pranowo at the Pesta Rakyat event on August 18, 2018 in Pemalang District. In the future the provincial government hopes to be able to become the front-runner in national innovation competitions such as Top 99 Sinovik.
